AFRICA KWAHERI!

So much gratitude to everyone here for joining All Around This World on a musical journey around Africa. We hope you learned so very much and had so very much fun doing it. Over the last three months we sang songs from all over the continent that draw on dozens of countries and cultures. We also danced to celebrate independence and just to celebrate life.   

Remember remember remember, and remind your kids – Africa is not a country, it's a CONTINENT. Look at the map. Countries and countries and countries...and LANGUAGES – thousands of them. Africa is intensely complicated. Whether or not we embrace that complexity, and dare to delve deep, trying to understand, the least we can do is acknowledge it. When we see harrowing reports from Africa on the news, remember. Africa, like everywhere, is not just one thing.
