A Latin American musical adventure! Sing and dance along with Jay as he introduces your kids to several engaging elements of Latin America music through songs, drumming and FUN. [Best age: 5-9 years old, approximately 45 mniutes.]

Kick off All Around This World’s season of Latin American music with an active sing-along introduction to our songs from South America, Central America and Mexico. Participants in this class will have the option to receive a link to download or stream a full new “core curriculum” class recording each subsequent week in October — Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. [Best age: 5-9 years old, approximately 40 minutes.]

Let’s dance! Jay will introduce your students to the most basic steps of four dances from different parts of Latin America — the Chilean Cueca, the Argentine Tango, Ecuador’s Bomba del Chota, and Mexico’s Son Jarocho. [Best age — 6-10 years old, approximately 40 minutes.]

A light and airy intro to drumming/rhythms from several Latin American countries — count out the Cuban Clave, pat to the Garifuna punta, “bailar al” Puerto Rican Bomba, sing (and surdo) to Brazilian samba. (not a “how to” class as much as a “drum-and-dance-along” class.) [Best ages — 5-10 years old, approximately 40 minutes.]

Singing, drumming and movement for our littlest learners! No time wasted on chatter — we literally leap from song to song. [Best age — 3-6 years old, approximately 30 minutes.]

Libraries, supplement your storytimes with a musical event for your fabulous families. For grown-ups with their kids, from infants-in-arms up. [Best age — infants-5 years old with grown-ups, approximately 35 minutes.]

Oh goodness, kids have so much energy after school…so give them a chance to sing and dance! A very active internationally musical adventure for afterschool kids. [Best age — 5-9 years old, approximately 40 minutes.]

Jay leads a Latin American sing-along that emphasizes English lyrical translations of Spanish/Portuguese/other Latin American langauge songs as a way to give your English-language learners a musical boost. We will provide your teachers with a vocabulary list and worksheets/activities that will reinforce the learning of English words. [Best age — 5 years-old to students of any age, even adults, as long as they’re open to silly sinigng as a way to help them learn. Approximately 40 minutes.]
