A FORRÓ FLASHMOB
Before our online classes leave Latin America altogether let’s wink and nod to some of our favorite Brazilian genres of music. For example, forró is a rapid and lively collection of music genres intertwined with dynamic European-inspired couples dancing from Brazil’s northeast. Forró may have laid the basis for the lambada, which as we all know from the early ’90s, is “The Forbidden Dance,” but here we see an etire plaza full of it.
